- Here lies Regina, buried in a tomb as beautiful
- as her husband could construct, corresponding to his love.
- She has aged with him for two dozen years and a year,
- and four months less eight days.
- She will live again, she will return to the light again,
- for she can hope that she will rise in the age which is promised
- in true faith (?) to the worthy and the pious,
- she who has deserved a place in the venerable land.
- This your piety has acquired for you, your chaste life,
- your love for the people, your observance of the law,
- the merits of your marriage, whose honour was your concern.
- Having done (all) these things, you may hope for good things to come,
- in which your sad husband also seeks consolation.
